Moved the large bird form down from in front of the tower. Played with the desert horizon using a gradient with lower opacity.
Backstory - Acceleropa they call it. It's post-apocalyptic 2401, and what little resource they got, they hoard it and protect it, even from the mutated birds. If you make it into the canyon, you might be a friend of the Arid Zona Alliance. They've managed to force the New California Republic to desalinate sea water, and New Vegas to finally cash in its chips. Acceleropa, AZA, it's for the scorpibirds. And that's just okay with them. Yippee ki yay, feller.
Your value study is meant to be for rough layout. I don't want to see the value study in your painting per se.
ReplyDeleteAlso - the perspective grid was meant to help your composition, not be a separate image by itself.

How can you use perspective to help the angles of the tower in the background? How can you use those same perspective lines to help shape the vehicle foreshortening? Please give me at least 3 variations of the vehicle as thumbnails before developing it much further. I suggest the same for the mutant birds. Also: pleas post reference which is MUCH higher resolution! If you wish to mashup found imagery to make the vehicle, that is another option you can explore.
